The revenues generated and employment opportunities created by Mountana Resources contribute significantly to the local and state economy through wages and taxes paid, purchases made locally and philanthropic donations. We take seriously our corporate responsibility to give back to the communities in which we live. The primary philanthropic arm of the Washington Companies is the Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation and a portion of our profits helps fund the foundation. Since its inception, Foundation giving and the Washington Family's personal contributions to charitable causes total more than $60 million. Grants are awarded in the areas of: Arts & Culture, Community Service, Education and Health & Human Services. Primary beneficiaries of Foundation grants are direct-service nonprofit organizations that serve economically and socially disadvantaged individuals and their families.
