Corporate Citizenship

Montana Resources is a proud member of the Washington Companies. The revenues generated and employment opportunities created by Montana Resources contribute significantly to the local and state economy through wages and taxes paid, purchases made locally and philanthropic donations. We take seriously our corporate responsibility to give back to the communities in which we live.

The primary philanthropic arm of the Washington Companies is the Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation and a portion of our profits helps fund the foundation. Since its inception, Foundation giving and the Washington Family's personal contributions to charitable causes total more than $60 million. Grants are awarded in the areas of: Arts & Culture, Community Service, Education and Health & Human Services. Primary beneficiaries of Foundation grants are direct-service nonprofit organizations that serve economically and socially disadvantaged individuals and their families. The Foundation can be accessed at: www.dpwfoundation.org.

We also realize that the success we enjoy as a company is due to the strong work ethic, talents and professionalism of our employees and we are grateful for their efforts. We have an interest in the success and well-being of our employees and their families. Under one company program, employee family members may receive financial assistance toward qualifying post-secondary education. Montana Resources employees also contribute significantly to the communities in which they live by donating their time, financial resources and expertise to help many community based organizations they are passionate about.
