Mining jobs often provide above-average wages compared to other industries. Workers can also enjoy comprehensive benefits packages.

Health insurance benefits are effective the first of the calendar month following 30 days of employment. The employee, spouse, and dependent children under the age of 26 may be covered. Employees may elect coverage based on their individual family needs.

Medical Coverage: Montana Resources’ Medical Plan is administered by Allegiance Benefit Plan. Most services are covered at 80% after the deductible is met when utilizing an in-network provider. The Consumer Plan covers in-network preventative care and preventative generic prescription drugs. There is also $250 first dollar allowance per covered individual for vision.

Dental Coverage: The Plan provides dental benefits for most necessary dental services. Preventive, basic, major and orthodontics (children under age 18) coverages are provided. Dental premiums are bundled under your medical coverage and are at no additional premium cost to our employees.

Vision Coverage: Voluntary vision coverage is provided to employees in addition to the $250 allowance under the company health plan. This is a low-cost option for employees to have full vision coverage available for themselves and their family.

Health Savings Accounts: The health plan allows employees to elect pretax dollars to be placed into a “reimbursement account” to be applied towards eligible out of pocket health care expenditures for the year. Montana Resources provides a matching amount dependent on whether you have single or family coverage.  Employees must complete one wellness activity in order to receive the matching funds.

Retirement Plan: Montana Resources participates in the Washington Companies Retirement Plan. Montana Resources provides a matching contribution of up to 4%.  The Washington Companies Retirement Plan can contribute greatly toward your financial security at retirement.

Profit Sharing: The company allocates a portion of its profits to be distributed to eligible employees quarterly and annually. Every full-time employee is eligible to participate in this program. This plan provides a way for you to directly benefit from hard work and dedication. These dollars are a significant investment in addition to an employee’s regular earnings.
