Montana Resources is a proud member of The Washington Companies. Montana Resources contributes significantly to the local and state economy, with wages and taxes paid and local and statewide purchases averaging more than $74 million annually. We take seriously our corporate responsibility to give back to the communities in which we live and work.
We realize that the success we enjoy as a company is due to the strong work ethic, talents and professionalism of our employees, and we are grateful for their efforts. We have an interest in the success and well being of our employees and their families. For instance, under one company-sponsored program, employee family members receive scholarship support to attend qualifying post-secondary education institutions.
Montana Resources is proud to be an integral part of Butte-Silver Bow. Our tax payments account for approximately 25 percent of of the county’s tax base. We also make it a priority to purchase as much as possible from local and Montana businesses.
In addition to dedication at work, Montana Resources employees give a great deal of time, talent, and money back to their community and surrounding areas. Employee-initiated special projects contribute significantly to local charities. Besides also supporting many local programs through charitable donations, a portion of Montana Resources’ profits goes toward funding the Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation. Since its inception, Foundation giving plus the Washington family’s personal contributions to charitable causes totals more than a third of a billion dollars. Grants are awarded in the areas of: Arts & Culture, Community Service, Education and Health & Human Services.
